BRUNO BAFIA

Bruno Bafia is a health and wellness entrepreneur, and father, with 25+ years of experience in the industry. Originally from Poland, Bruno, alongside his father and business partner, introduced the concept of salt therapy to the United States, helping bring this European wellness practice to a broader market. He is the owner of Salt Oasis, a wellness center serving nearly 1,000 clients monthly, and the developer of the Longevity Wellness Capsule: a portable, multi-therapy recovery system that integrates wet and dry salt therapy, red light therapy, oxygen therapy, and aromatherapy into one streamlined experience.

He’s also designed and built salt rooms and caves for spas, hotels, resorts, and residential spaces, and is expanding the reach of his Wellness Capsule to these industries and beyond. Bruno is passionate about helping busy people build sustainable health habits that prioritize energy, recovery, and long-term consistency.

INTRO:

What part of your health have you invested in most, and why?

Bruno: My recovery, sleep, and energy. I’ve created very strict rules around these because I’ve realized how critical they are to performance and longevity. When I was younger, I neglected these, even though I was in the health and wellness industry. I was a health fanatic and would be at the gym 2-3 hours a day, 6 days a week, but focused more on output than recovery. When my business grew, and when I turned 40, I felt a shift and started understanding the importance of maintaining energy.

Most people focus on the 80% of effort that gives 20% of the results, but high performers focus on the 20% that drives 80% of the results.

I’m also deeply committed to self-development and am always learning as well as applying what I learned. The consistency both physically and mentally has made the biggest difference in my overall performance and quality of life.

ROUTINES & HABITS:

What is your morning routine?

Bruno: It’s all about setting the tone for the day. The first thing I do is hydrate with warm water with lemon, and that's been a nonnegotiable for over 20 years. Then I do some light stretching to get my body moving and circulation going, followed by breathwork, usually box breathing. I also like to read before the house wakes
up, so I’m typically up between 5:00 and 5:30 a.m., since my son gets up around 6:30 am.

Depending on where I’m at mentally, I’ll either meditate or use positive affirmations to get centered and focused. From there, I identify the 3–5 most important tasks that will actually move the needle for the day instead of just staying busy.
And one thing I try to never miss is dropping my son off at school, it’s important for me to connect with him, check his energy, and make sure he starts his day feeling supported.

What is your evening routine?

Bruno: My evening routine is all about disconnecting and resetting. Once I’m done with work, I’ll spend about 15–20 minutes max on social media, then I get off my phone and limit notifications to only immediate family and favorites. I’m big on family, so sitting down for dinner together is very important to me, especially coming
from a Polish background. After that, I take a few minutes to write down my top three priorities for the next day. As an entrepreneur, things can shift quickly, so flexibility is key, but having clear priorities keeps me focused and intentional.

How do you manage your workday?

Bruno: I structure it around focused productivity. After I drop my son off at school, I’ll go for a walk or hit the gym and then block off 2–3 hours of deep work with no calls, meetings, or distractions. After that, I’ll switch into calls, meetings, and emails, take a short break, and then follow it with another 1–3 hours of deep work. I’ve learned that being busy for 8–12 hours a day doesn’t necessarily mean you’re productive. I’d rather focus on getting 3–6 hours of high-quality, intentional work done, while still leaving space in my day to handle anything unexpected or to support my team when needed.

What is a nonnegotiable for you?

Bruno: Setting a high standard for myself and staying consistent. It's about showing up, even if you don't feel like it. If I commit to something like reading 10 pages of a book, and life gets in the way or I’m not feeling my best, I’ll still do something, even if it’s two pages. It comes down to consistency and discipline over motivation. Motivation comes and goes but discipline is what keeps you moving forward.

Do you have any specific routines on sleep, training, or recovery?

Bruno: I focus on stretching, breath work, and meditation. Walking is also a huge nonnegotiable for me; I'm currently on day 328 of walking every day for at least 30 minutes. I also have an accountability partner, which helps keep me consistent. My specialty is salt therapy though, which supports recovery by reducing the bacteria and viruses in your body, and I do 2-3 sessions of that a week.

TOOLS & TRACKING:

Which metrics do you track?

Bruno: I track energy levels and overall performance both personally and in business. Every day, I go through a list of questions and rate myself on a scale of 1 to 10: How did I feel today? How was my energy? What affected it? What could I improve tomorrow?

I tried to track sleep quality more, but now it’s mainly all about how I’m feeling and performing in real time, which gives a clearer picture of my productivity.

MINDSET:

Which mindset shift had the greatest impact on your performance?

Bruno: Embracing long-term thinking. When I was younger, I focused on short-term goals: 1 month, 3-month, 6-month goals. Now, I think in 1-year, 3-year, 5-year, and 10-year goals. This shift came from moving away from chasing the quick wins, and focusing on consistency over time, where the real growth happens.

What do you tell yourself on days when you feel off or unmotivated? How do you talk yourself out of it?

Bruno: You don't need to have a perfect day, just forward momentum. The days that you're feeling unmotivated are often the most important ones. Take Michael Phelps for example, he went five years without taking a day off and said the most important days for him were the days he didn’t want to train but did anyway. The same is true for me, I see the biggest difference when I push through even when I don’t feel like it.

CLOSING:

What is something you’re looking to improve in your business, health, or personal life?

Bruno: Being more intentional with my time and being fully present, whether it’s in business or with family. Too often, people will be in a meeting and already be thinking about what’s next, but I think it’s crucial to be present in the moment and know when to shift focus as needed.

Which habits or routines truly move the needle for you? And what’s one thing you would advise others to do that could move the needle for them?

Bruno: My habits that move the needle are rooted in my personal core values; Extreme Ownership: taking full responsibility for everything that I do; Relentless consistency: showing up every day; Discipline over Emotion: executing regardless how I feel; Long-term Thinking; and Health comes first: it’s the next wealth.

I’d advise others to define their own personal core values and use them as a guide, because they’re what drive meaningful, lasting progress.

Consistency over motivation. Even when you don’t feel like it, do something small. Discipline beats emotion every time”.
