KYLE MORETTI

Kyle is the founder of Sparklepro, a commercial cleaning company based in Miami that did over a million in revenue in its first eight months. Before that, he spent years in tech sales at Oracle and SAP, grinding cold calls and forecast reviews.

Kyle left corporate for entrepreneurship because the math didn't work. The ceiling was clear, and it wasn't high enough… so he started cleaning it instead.

HOW HE OPERATES:

How Kyle manages his health and energy while building a company:

  1. The math broke him out of corporate

    • Worked at Oracle, then SAP. Classic tech sales grind: cold calls, forecast reviews, VPs ripping you apart on deal reviews.

    • "I had constant anxiety. Every salesperson I worked with had it. Nobody talks about it."

    • Did the math on his pipeline and realized there is not enough opportunity

    • Started sales consulting on the side. Built it to 53 clients in six months with an organic inbound funnel.

    • Then met a guy doing catering making $50k/month. "What am I doing competing with 300 reps in the same territory when this guy is printing money with catering?"

    • "They claim being a salesperson is like running your own business. It's not at all. You don't control anything, and you're not positioned well to win."

  2. Chose cleaning because the TAM is massive and nobody smart is there

    • No licensing requirements to start. Recurring revenue model. Huge demand.

    • "There's not enough smart people that are real businesspeople taking advantage of these opportunities."

    • Built his own marketing funnel, hired overseas VAs for sales. First dollar was last April.

    • By June/July: $10,000 a week. June to January: over a million in revenue. First quarter this year: over half a million.

    • On pace for multiple millions this year.

  3. Become the best marketer, everything else follows

    • Last quarter: 3,000 inbound calls. "If it weren't for that, we wouldn't have a business."

    • His edge is that he can build a funnel and close.

    • "Become the best marketer you possibly could be. Become the best salesperson you could be. Everything else will work itself out, because you can always pay somebody to do it."

  4. No ceiling, no excuse

    • Biggest mindset shift from corporate to entrepreneurship: "There's no limitation on what you could achieve. I thought there always was, because there was in my old role."

    • Doesn't have many unmotivated days. "I really love my business. That's probably the cheesy answer, but I'm just super proud of what I've built. I can't believe it."

    • In corporate, "You're never at full capacity."

    • As an entrepreneur, you're overwhelmed constantly. "You have to tell yourself you're a well-rounded person and you're the best at everything, so that you could actually do it. You have to become the best version of yourself, and a leader in every way you can”

    • “Have the confidence and a real sense of belief that you could accomplish whatever it is you want”

    • “If you have weaknesses, you need to make them strengths”

    • "I'll never have to learn accounting" doesn't fly anymore.

  5. Your environment is the strategy

    • Moved to Miami at 25. Bought a condo in Brickell

    • In Austin (Oracle days), everyone around him was doing the same thing: drinking, partying, hating their jobs.

    • Miami changed that. "Most people are different here. Everyone I had to make friends with was doing better than me."

    • “If it weren't for that environment, there'd be no way I'd be doing what I'm doing. That's a big factor.”

  6. Entrepreneurship gave him his health back

    • In corporate, he neglected everything. Didn't go to doctors. Had health problems he just ignored. "You feel guilty about taking time off."

    • Once he had control of his time, he started catching up on all of it.

    • Since changing how he lives, he’s been feeling better and sharper

    • Just started monthly blood testing with Rhythm to get a real picture of what's going on internally.

  7. Works out when his body wants to

    • Usually hits the gym around 1pm after a full morning of work.

    • "I feel wired all day because I'm actually busy”

  8. Travels constantly, calls it the best ROI of entrepreneurship

    • Wife is from Austria. They spend chunks of the year in Europe

    • "Traveling and new experiences is really the best thing that has come from being an entrepreneur. I control my time."

“Being comfortable with yourself, having alignment with what you want, and being in the right environment naturally invites the energy you're looking for.”

MY TAKEAWAY:

Kyle realized his environment didn’t match his ambition, so he took matters into his own hands and moved. That applies to the city he was living in: moving from Austin to Miami, and it applies to his career, moving from employee to entrepreneur.

I think relationship building and sales is a much harder skill to teach than operations. Kyle’s ability to build funnels and close deals is one of the most valuable skills in a founder, and makes you want to bet on him (along with him having a clear vision and being extremely motivated).

Additionally, he’s intentional with his building. Even though he has huge plans for growth and has only started last year, he is already talking to potential acquirers, just so he can start optimizing now for a maximum potential exit.

Lastly, on the health. He started taking care of his health because he had control of his time. Even though as an entrepreneur, he’s working even harder and may have less time to spend on his health, he has total control of his time and can spend time doing things he knows provide an ROI (like his health). Kyle shared that he found out he had a histamine allergy. One test revealed that and it changed how he feels every day. Such low hanging fruit that I’m sure plenty of other founders are sitting on too.

WHAT MOVES THE NEEDLE (From Kyle):

  1. Invest in marketing, become a master of your craft, and use AI.

  2. Become the best marketer and best salesperson you can be, and everything else will work out.

STEAL THIS:

Actions you can take right now

  1. If you've never done a full allergy or blood panel, book one this week (feel free to reply to this email to talk about which is best for you). One test, one change, and Kyle felt sharper immediately. You might be sitting on something just as simple.

  2. Quit your job. Kidding (maybe) but do the math on your current situation the way Kyle did. How many inputs does it take to get one output?

WHAT HE IS BUILDING:

SparklePro Cleaning

Kyle built SparklePro from zero to over 1M in revenue in 8 months and is on track for multiple millions this year. It’s a cleaning company, but the engine underneath is a tech founder’s playbook: inbound marketing funnels, overseas VAs handling sales, and a model designed to scale across markets. He’s already expanding by helping friends build their own versions of Sparklepro in new cities.

His long-term play: build it clean enough to exit big.
